
Juan Carlos Triviño is an Assistant Professor of Public Policy in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra (Barcelona). His research focuses on governance processes from multilevel and regulatory perspectives across several policy sectors, with a particular emphasis on migration and integration. More specifically, his work examines the role of cities as political, policy, and regulatory actors in migration governance. He also researches regulatory governance in sectors such as public health, food safety, finance, consumer protection, and migration. He has published in leading journals including Public Administration, Governance, International Migration Review, Regulation & Governance, Journal of European Integration, The Lancet, and Journal of Ethnic and Migration Studies, among others. He is the Principal Investigator of the GLOCALMIC project, which examines the role of global cities in protecting migrants, and the MunMIGRA project on local policy responses to the presence of precarious migrants in Spanish cities, both funded by the Spanish Ministry of Science.

Francisco Ferraioli is a postdoctoral researcher in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra. He holds a PhD in Politics, Policies and International Relations from the Universitat Autònoma de Barcelona, where his dissertation examined administrative burden, motivation and performance in the public sector. His research agenda is located at the intersection of public administration, political behaviour, and quantitative methods. A central part of his work examines how citizens and public employees experience public administration, with special attention to administrative burden, digital bureaucracy, motivation, policy feedback and the perceived quality of public services. His research has been published in journals such as the International Review of Administrative Sciences, Local Government Studies, Gaceta Sanitaria, the Journal of International and Comparative Social Policy, and the Revista Española de Investigaciones Sociológicas.

Juliana Fornasier is a PhD candidate in the Department of Political and Social Sciences at Universitat Pompeu Fabra in Barcelona, where she also completed her Master’s degree in Migration Studies. Her research focuses on policy learning in the field of migration in European cities. Her professional background is complemented by experience working on various European projects. Currently, she is working on the EU-funded CONSOLIDATE project, which supports local authorities in developing migrant integration strategies. She has also worked with international organizations such as the ICMPD (International Centre for Migration Policy Development), and IOM’s GMDAC (Global Migration Data Analysis Centre).
